Plot:

Batman Begins retells the story of Bruce Wayne's upbringing and early years, with a few differences from the original Tim Burton movies. When he witnesses his parent's murder by a local crook, Bruce (Christian Bale) blames himself and wants revenge - but when the murderer is himself killed after a court hearing, Bruce confronts the gangland boss responsible. The meeting doesn't quite go as he planned, ane he is thrown into the gutter outside, completely defenceless. He then travels the world on a self-imposed exile, building his fighting skills and greater sense of morality.
Whlie in Asia, Bruce meets with the ninja cult leader 'Ra's Al-Ghul' where he is taught to control his fear and his fighting skills are sharpened, before he returns to Gotham City as something to strike fear into the hearts of men...

So, how does it end?

Bruce attends his birthday party at the mansion - but in the crowd is the real 'Ra's Al-Ghul' - Liam Neeson. He is told to evacuate the people - so Bruce does a theatrical speech about them all being hangers-on and losers, so they quickly leave. The real Ra tells him how Gotham has been doomed for years, and it was his parents that saved it financially last time around. Neeson and his boys knock Bruce out cold and then torch the mansion.
Alfred (Michael Caine) returns just in time to lift a timber off Bruce and they make it out alive.  Meanwhile the lunatics are running (and escaping out of) the asylum, and the police have raised the bridges leading to the city to keep it contained.
Rachel (Holmes) awakes with the antidote vials, and rushes off to hand them to Gordon (Oldman).

The major plot involves the final train allowed over one of the bridges holding Ra's men and the water-microwave emitter. As it hurtles over the city streets, water turns to steam all around and the fear-poison escapes into the air, turning everyone into a frenzy.
Batman meets with Gordon, and hands him the keys to his car - and then he is off to rescue Rachel, again.  Rachel has tazered the Scarecrow in the face with a great shot, but is then surroundered by a gang of armed men. Batman swoops in and takes her away - and before he leaves reveals his true identity to her.
Batman then flies onto the runaway train, and gets into a fight with Ra's men.
Gordon parks Batman's tank-car, and with a few rockets takes out the supports to a track of the monorail above.
Just before the train reaches the broken track, Batman fires his grappling hook out the back to save himself - and doesn't bother to save his old enemy.

Later, everything has returned to normal - and Morgan Freeman is the new MD of the company now that Wayne has bought back a majority shareholding.
He meets with Rachel, but she turns him down as she loves the old, cowardly Bruce and not the new Batman.
That night Batman meets with Gordon, who tells him that things will only escalate - including a case of a new criminal, who leaves behind the calling card of a Joker.
