Plot:

The nuns drag Delores (Whoopi Goldberg) back to help teach at the local Catholic school, which is about to be closed anyway. The kids are difficult to teach but they can sing and make it to the Choir State Championship. Can they pull it off and take first place to save the school?

So, how does it end?

Save yourself some time and skip this one. Its got all the cast from the 1st one (even the lesser known nuns), and has even drafted James (Young Guns II) Coburn in it ... but its terrible and unfunny. Tried to fall asleep first time I saw it in the cinema many years ago, but the music kept waking me up.
Well, the talented singer gets the letter to say she can go on the trip. They get to the venue, but are intimidated by the ability of the rival schools - including one that has nicked their song.
Whoopi tells them to take off the choir uniforms, so they go on stage "street" style, to feel more comfortable. With advice like that they should have hired her years ago.
The talented girl freezes ... but then belts out a few notes, the kids in the background dance a little and we hear them sing backing vocals (even though most don't open their mouths and there's not a microphone in sight). But the crowd seem to like it.

The results are in. Unsurprisingly they win 1st place and receive an enormous trophy.
The Mother Superior nun tells a council member that the school is about to be closed, but he gives them the power to stay open as he wants to hear them next year. Its a wise decision, I hear the only other act he has booked to perform are Jedwood from the X Factor.
