Slowly, Irving and Billy bond until the moment they meet the boy's father at a biker bar. Irving leaves him in the care of Chuck, and is consoled by a gang of Christian bikers (who serve out hard times to bad dads) as he leaves. Meanwhile, Chuck makes no secret of the fact that he just wants Billy for the extra benefits cash, and after a few dodgy comments soon the bikers angrily turn on him.
Irving does the right thing and comes back to rescue Billy. Helped by the bikers, they hit the road again.
Realising they are short on money, Irving decides to enter Billy into a Beauty Pageant. Billy dresses up as a little girl, and does a cute rendition of "My Bonny lies over the ocean", until the first few riffs of "Cherry Pie" kick in and he rips off his dress, then Pole Dances to a stunned crowd. Irving runs onto the stage at the end and flicks dollar bills at his grandson like we saw at the crazy Ladies Night before, before Billy's wig falls off and they quickly escape from the building!
They finally make it to a bridge, and heave the dead body of Irving's wife over the railings, then watch as it floats away downstream and decide to fish.
In the end credits we have outtakes, and the reactions of those involved when Johnny Knoxville reveals himself. (The DVD extra scenes are even better which give away more info on the setup of each scene - and the fact they actually won the Beauty Pageant by paying off the judges to the anger of the real crowd, but thought it would have been too much for viewers!)
