Plot:

The Empire has started construction on a larger, more powerful Death Star that will exert their influence over the galaxy, unless the Rebels can launch a full-scale attack before it becomes fully operational. First, they must rescue their friend Han Solo from the palace of Jabba the Hutt, and Luke must finish his training with the powerful Jedi master Yoda before he dies of extreme old age.

So, how does it end?

The team must deactivate a shield generator on the forest moon of Endor, orbiting within range of the Death Star and cloaking it with a protection against fighters - but they are led into a trap.
Meanwhile Luke surrenders himself to Vader, hoping to talk his old man round - but Vader just takes him to the Emperor.
Han and the gang do well and defeat the ground troops, with a little help from the cuddly ewoks, and then set the charges to blow up the shield generator.
The Rebel fleet is within range of the Death Star - but are suddenly suffering tremdous losses from the death rays when they realise that their intel was inaccurate and it is fully functional after all.
Luke can only watch, growing in anger, being goaded by the Emperor. He refuses to join the Dark Side and fights with Vader.
Luke is a man on a mission and defeats Vader, slicing off his hand in retaliation for what happened before - but refuses to finish him off.  The Emperor isn't happy with that decision, and then enjoys conducting electricity through the young Jedi warrior.
Vader can't watch and snatches the old guy up over his head, and throws him down into a Cloud City style shaft to his death, resulting in a huge blue energy-explosion.

The Rebel fleet have realised that the shield generator is down, so begin their attack. Leading the way are Wedge Antilles' x-wing and the Millenium Falcon, captained by Llando and the little red alien. They destroy the internal main reactor, and then quickly make a run for it.
Luke picks up his dad, and takes him to a ship to get off the space station. Vader asks Luke to remove his helmet so he can see him with his own eyes - and this also kills the old bald guy a little quicker too.

The good guys then get down to Endor for a fireworks party, and Luke now has 3 stalkers watching his every move - Obi Wan, Yodz and his dad.
