Hondo's SWAT team get to the hijacked prison van in time to shoot Montel's bodyguards, and apprehend Montel again. On his way back to station, in front of all the live TV cameras, he offers $100million to anyone who can break him out. This gets a lot of people talking.
The Captain reluctantly agrees to give Hondo's team the job to move Montel to a high security compound. They take the prisoner to the roof, when a local gang shoots down a chopper that was to take them safely out the city. They have no choice but to wait it out back in the HQ and come up with a plan B.
So next they take Montel underground to a convoy of waiting cars. TJ is a little late, feeling unwell after a dodgy taco.
The convoy leaves ... and is almost immediately underfire from a Mexican gang. They box in the convoy with trucks, and then take out the armoured vehicles with RPGs. They open the doors to rescue Montel -- and see that it's only a dummy. The Feds rain down on them.
Meanwhile SWAT and Montel are walking further along an undergound network of tunnels, and get into unmarked SUVs. Hondo takes the first car; while Street, Boxer, TJ and Montel bring up the rear.
They follow the planned route, being tracked by chopper, when suddenly TJ pulls over. He turns on Street with a gun, while Gamble has been waiting and opens the door next to Boxer. He shoots Boxer to stop him fighting back. They tie up Street and take Montel down to the subway.
Hondo has responded to Street's call for help on the radio. Chris and Deke care for Boxer while Street and Hondo get down to the subway. They miss the train, and call it in.
The train doesn't show at the next station.
Hondo and Street carefully follow the path down the line - to see that the bad guys have deserted it and used a storm drain to disappear. Joined by Chris and Deke, they follow their tracks.
Gamble plants a claymore mine to slow them down, which almost takes out Deke until Street stops him in time. At the end of the tunnel, the bad guys lock the gates and make a run for it in waiting cars. SWAT need to double back and use the mine to break the chains over the exit.
Outside they can call for backup.
The Captain doesn't buy it. He isn't sure if they are all involved - and has reliable intel that they'll be using an airstrip at the other side of town. SWAT manage to 'borrow' a limo, and follow a low-flying private jet that is heading towards a long bridge.
Gamble and his team wait on the bridge as the plane approaches. They take a hostage, and prepare to take off again.
SWAT's limo breaks through a roadblock and speeds towards the jet. They trade shots, and then Hondo drives into one of the wheels, bringing it to a stop. There's a huge firefight, but TJ has already been hit. Gamble gets away - abseiling from the bridge with the female hostage as his weight.
Hondo finds TJ - who decides to shoot himself for what he has done. Montel is captured, again.
Street follows Gamble - also abseiling off the bridge. They fight on an industrial train track below. Finally Street manages to throw his enemy under a moving train and decapitates him.
The Captain shows up - and still needs them to finish their job. They take a SWAT bus and take Montel to the Federal prison.
On the way home they're all banged up pretty good, and are 12hrs over the clock, but when a call comes in for help, Street and Hondo can't resist to take the job.
