Plot:

Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is a self-confessed loser working in a dead-end job, with a cheating girlfriend and regular panic attacks.  After a shoot-out in a pharmacy, he is told of his heritage at a secret society of Assassins by the leader Sloan (Morgan Freeman).

Tutored by an agent called Fox (Angelina Jolie), he learns to use his abnormal heart rate to 'slow down time' and with a few bending bullets and beatings for no apparent reason by a thin blonde dude, he is well on the way to avenge his father's death...

So, how does it end?

After following the assassin's path to somewhere in Europe, Wesley and Fox are caught-up in a gun-fight on a speeding Japanese-style bullet train. After a de-railing crash that is plunging hundreds of innocent passengers to their death into some type of bottomless LOTR style-pit, McAvoy is about to fall when Cross sticks out a hand. He is instantly shot in the chest by the unremoresful Wesley, but before he dies mutters the truth that - just like Vader - He is the hero's father.
On a new mission to bring justice to Sloan, Wesley remembers something the Russian Eminem told him, and attaches timebombs to thousands of rats with the help of some peanut-butter.  He drives a dumptruck into the front gates of the fraternity's nice-looking knitting building, and then lets them loose to cause all kinds of messy carnage.  He picks up his guns and without breaking stride runs towards the top floor (and Sloan) killing hundreds of bad-guys Rambo style.
Once there the truth comes out that they all should be dead - their names came up in the mystic weaving patterns, and Fox takes care of the job with the help of a nice, spinning 360degree shot.
The movie ends in an office cubicle - Sloan steps up behind the worker, just to find he has been duped - the worker is a poor-excuse for a look-a-like for Wesley, and the big 'X' on the floor can only mean that a high-powered bullet fired from about a mile away is going to enter his head in a matter of milliseconds...
