WW2 account to retell the mission of the Pathfinders - whose job it was to drop into Normandy 30 minutes before the invasion and light-up strategic drop-zones for the Allied troops.

So, how does it end?

One guy, I think he was called Neil Armstrong (?!!) but the end credits tell me it's Livingstone, is the man who survived 180-odd earlier jumps and is a man on a mission.  He single-handedly takes on the Germans while the other Pathfinders, for the most part, don't want to get into a fight.

Running out of time, the main group run over a field, which they know to be a German trap, but most make it to the far side and set up the antennae.  The planes are flying overhead, and they respond to the beacon just in time.  Just then, another lone soldier appears with a second radio device, too late.  They applaud their efforts.  There might have been another team who also set up their radio beacon, but it was difficult to tell who was who, to be honest. It's dark and they all look the same.

Later the next day, the Neil Armstrong guy is still without his friends and hears gunfire. He joins a troop gunned down - and decides to take on a German mortar team alone.  He fires off the odd grenade and shoots a few with his machine gun, but is beaten up and taken captive.

In the final credits we're told one guy made it home to his fiancee (who we saw in the first few scenes), while Doc and Livingstone were held as prisoners of war and released once the fighting was over.

Some joker put the budget on this one in IMDB as $50. I can't argue with that! (It wasn't me)

I haven't said this in a while, but give me a camcorder and access to a WW2 reenactment society and honestly I could do a better job.  The Director has the right lens filter on the camera to give it that "olde worlde war time feel", everything else was just bad.  We're talking Community Theater / Infant School nativity play acting,  On-the-nose dialogue throughout  with in-your-face backstory (eg "Hi, my name is Jack."  "Well, Jack, are you scared about leaving your wife and kids at home, seeing as you were recently married?"  "Oh yes, Captain, I'm scared about leaving my wife and kids all alone as you know I'm recently married."  Painful),  Terrible choice of leading roles,  Starting a scene too early - and ending it too late;  Poor special effects (talcum powder grenades);  and no suspense.

If you need to watch this for any reason (I can't think of one, help me out here), start it 40 minutes into the movie when the Pathfinders jump from the plane.  I fast forwarded most of it up to this point, and you really haven't missed much.
