Plot:

It's been 400 years since a virus almost destroyed all human life on earth. A scientist by the name of Goodchild found a cure, and now 5 million people live in a peaceful city compound called Bregna, surrounded by high walls for safety, and monitored by a huge alien spaceship. However a small number of people, known as Monicans, are asking questions about the unexplained abductions and ethics of the ruling Goodchild family. To overthow the Government they have found the perfect assassin - Aeon Flux.

So, how does it end?

Knowing that she has a connection to Trevor Goodchild, Aeon wants answers before she kills him. She refuses to accept her contract, so all Monicans - including her friend Sithandra - are instructed to kill them both.

Goodchild was caught on 'film' with Aeon, and Oren gets his wish to take over the family business.

Aeon enters the blimp to learn the whereabouts of her sister - she visits the address on file, to find that her sister's DNA is now inside a baby. Goodchild joins her, and explains the situation. The cure for the virus left everyone sterile - so they have stored the DNA of all inhabitants, and when they die they are cloned again.  Trevor and his brother, Oren, are instructed by their older selves each time - but have been unable to solve the problem.

Suddenly the Bregna police show up to bomb the place. Both escape. Trevor is shot, but he's okay. Trevor's lab has been destroyed, with all his research gone - and his friend Freya has been murdered.

Above ground Aeon decides to take out the blimp, so that all the DNA records will be destroyed. Four Monicans take up positions on all sides of a courtyard with sniper rifles aimed at Aeon. Aeon and Trevor are also soon surrounded by Oren and all the guards at his disposal.

Trevor soon finds out that Aeon's sister was murdered because she was pregnant - his experiments have worked. Not only that, women have been getting pregnant naturally - which is why Oren has been abducting them.

Aeon realises she is being watched. She signals to Sithandra and contacts her using some type of futuristic technology. Sithandra buys in, and orders the other three to take out the guards. The Monicans are finally killed, Oren blasting Sithandra off her tower. He turns the gun on Trevor - but Aeon kills him first.

Aeon gets inside the blimp to plant explosives. She speaks with The Gatekeeper, Pete Postlethwaite, to learn that she was rescued many years ago, and revived by him to get to Trevor and make a difference. He is tired now after 400 years and ready to die.

She gets out as the blimp explodes, and takes apart a section of the wall.

Now everyone has just one life remaining to live - and are free to choose their own destiny ... outside the city walls with all the zombies and giant slugs.
