Plot:

When arch rivals Chaz Michael Michaels (Will Ferrell) and Jimmy MacElroy (Jon Heder) are banned from singles figure skating for life after a fight at an awards ceremony, they must overcome their differences (and hate for each other) to become the world's first same-sex figure skating pair to continue competing and go for gold at the next Championships. Can they beat the creepy Van Waldenberg brother and sister pair, or will they fail miserably?!

So, how does it end?

Chaz and Jimmy patch up their differences and after impressing the crowd work on a new routine with a death-defying end.  We later find out that the disgraced coach tried it before, but the male figure skater decapitated his partner.

Chaz practices, but it doesn't look too promising.  Meanwhile the Van Waldenberg pair devise a plot to break up Chaz and Jimmy using their sister as bait.  Jimmy walks in on Chaz and Katie (Pam from The Office), and that ends their partnership. Chaz spends all night on the phone trying to apologise.

Before the big competition, the Van Waldenberg pair try to keep both skaters away from the venue. Stranz chases Chaz around the city on ice skates, shooting a crossbow arrow into an ice skating mascot on the way. Chaz dives into an ice lake to escape, but doesn't surface.

At the Championships, Jimmy takes to the ice alone ... when suddenly a frozen Chaz makes an appearance at the back of the stadium. He stumbles down to the ice, and then using his magic touch changes in a split second into his leotard and gets onto the ice.

Their routine, using both of their talents for choreographed skills with freestyle dancing, impresses the judges - until Fairchild Van Waldenberg sabotages their act by throwing beads from her necklace onto the ice -- which break Chaz's ankle when he skates over them.

They swap positions and Jimmy throws Chaz into the air for their big finale -- Chaz's skates just miss Jimmy's jugular, but its a huge success and he nails the landing. The crowd go wild and the judges award them top marks.

The Van Waldenberg are upset that their endorsements will end - but then it gets worse when The Mounties show up with the mascot who was struck by the arrow, and Stranz is taken into custody for desecrating an international icon.

Back for the awards ceremony on the ice, the Van Waldenbergs are second, handcuffed together, while Chaz and Jimmy win gold -- and then rockets fire out from their skates and they fly gracefully towards the roof of the stadium and out to the heavens.
