So it comes as no surprise that the bad guys wanted the daughter dead, and when they shouted "Craven" it wasn't meant for the old man. The only twist is that she wasn't pregnant, but poisoned.
Thomas is warned by Jedburgh in a sort of calm and not threatening in the slightest way. So he doesn't back off, and it doesn't make any difference.
Thomas starts to piece things together, and finds out that his daughter contacted a lawyer and the senator about the dodgy dealings at Northmoor, and they both did nothing.
Emma's boyfriend is soon murdered, and the assassin also winds up dead to keep the Feds happy.
Thomas is soon poisoned and starts to feel the effects. Without nothing to lose, his storms into the Northmoor head's mansion and takes out the henchmen - realising that one of them murdered his daughter. He trades shots with Bennett, and then forces the poisoned milk down his throat, before shooting him dead.
Meanwhile Jedburgh meets with the senator and his crew to discuss a way around the fiasco. Jedburgh has an idea that they can spin it to his favour. When they agree he is disappointed with their morals and shoots them in cold blood. A cop runs in to the room, and the crosshairs of his gun, but after asking if he has a family, allows the cop to shoot him dead.
Thomas is in hospital, not doing so well and under police guard - when he sees the ghost of his daughter and follows her into the light - so you can assume he died too.
