Remember Me
Jared Leto, Rebecca Gayheart, Michael Rosenbaum, Joshua Jackson, Tara Reid, Robert Englund
While studying at Pendleton University in New England, Natalie's class size is getting smaller by the day as her friends are murdered in increasingly elaborate "Urban Legend" slayings, from the Hook Man story to the one about the crazy college professor who murdered his students - which just happens to have started on their very own campus 25 years earlier. A Lex Luther with hair and Joshua Jackson are some of the faces you'll recognise, alongside Tara Reid and good old Robert Englund.
Well, a lot of them die in elaborate urban-mythology ways by a mysterious parka-wearing mad-man! After the car-crash scene, Natalie is led to the creepy old uni hall by the screams of her curly-haired best friend Brenda (Gayheart). In an upstairs rooms Nat is knocked-out by the doubler-crosser, who then ties her to a bed and starts to wear the infamous coat. As it turns out, Curly's old boyfriend was killed by Natalie's gang years earlier in an urban-legend inspired ordeal. Suddenly the comedy cop bursts into the room to save the day ... but is soon shot. Oh, and Professor Wexler is still in the boot of Brenda's car in case you were wondering. Jared Leto enters the room for the party, tries to talk her round, but fails miserably. The dying cop manages to get in a shot, then Natalie grabs Curly's gun and shoots her out through the window. Wait - its not over. She is back in the car, in the backseat, as Paul and Natalie are driving away somewhere - talking about the fact they never found the body. They wrestle a bit, crash, and she is thrown out the front window, over a bridge and down into a flowing river. But, oh yes, they don't find the body. This girl is a mix between Rambo and Houdini. The movie ends in a typical US university hall with students hanging around telling urban legend stories ... and there she is, without the curly hair this time, ready to set them straight on the facts. And she looks about 20 years older than them all too. I blame all that swimming.
