The Goonies follow the trail of Chester Copperpot and beat all of One Eyes Willy's traps, while being chased by the evil Fratelli family. Andi remembers her piano lessons to play the right notes on an organ made of bones to open the final door, and then down a 'Typhoon Lagoon' style water slide they splash-land into the flooded cove holding the pirate ship.
Mikey gets emotional talking to the dead Pirate Captain - and finds out why he was called "One Eyed Willy" in the uncut version. They fill their hands, bags, anything they can with precious jewels and gold -- but are busted by the big mama and forced to hand everything over.
As she makes them walk the plank it's Sloth to the rescue! Sloth swings onto the pirate ship and defeats the Fratellis holding The Goonies captive - throwing his mom overboard and beating his two brothers unconscious then tying and hositing them up with rope.
The Goonies swim away to make their escape while they still can, as the old woman climbs back onto the ship to lower her sons. They set about reclaiming all the gold and diamonds - but take from the plate that Mikey said was Willy's, releasing a mechanism that is the final booby trap.
Rocks start falling from the roof of the cave. The exit is suddenly covered by heavy boulders. Sloth tells Chunk that he loves him as he uses his back to keep the main boulder up so they can escape through his legs, and is trapped inside. The ships sets into motion as another cave wall collapses.
Two police guys on quads pick up the Goonies on the beach and their parents are called for a big reunion.
The cops arrest The Fratellis, but the kids run to Sloth to keep him away from The Feds. Chunk tells Sloth he is going home with him now.
The golf course guys go to Walsh to demand he signs the repossession papers, as Rosalita starts screaming in Spanish. Mouth translates and inside Mikey's marble bag is a handful of precious stones - enough to save all their homes. Walsh tears up the papers.
As they look out over the bay, the pirate ship is sailing away into the distance and international waters ... where Chinese fishermen will pick it up and steal all the loot!
