Alice has grown up since her adventures as a child and forgotten about her friends left behind in Wonderland. At a garden party she is expected to accept a wedding proposal from the wealthy Hamish, but is soon distracted and chases another rabbit down a hole. Will this girl ever learn?!

The movie ends when Alice manages to get back to England, where she rejects the marriage proposal Hamish offered her earlier in the film. She gives some other guests a piece of her mind, which gains her the attention of Hamish's father, who then employs her as a company apprentice. The film finally ends with Alice sailing away on a ship, "Wonder", in order to expand shipping to China.
