Remember Me
Debra Messing, Dermot Mulroney, Amy Adams, Jack Davenport
Attractive, 30-something Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) must return home to London for her sister's wedding, two years after being dumped by her ex-fiancé who happens to be the Best Man. She hires a top-of-the-range male escort (Dermot Mulroney) to act as her boyfriend to make the event more bearable, impress her parents ... and make the dodgy ex-fiancé green with envy.
Unsurprisingly, Kat and the escort get it on, but things take a turn for the worse when 'Ginger' finds out her ex and little sister (an almost unbearingly-annoying, blonde, Amy Adams) were having an affair, which was the reason she was dumped. She blames Nick the escort for not telling her sooner, so he decides to skip town and leaves his wages behind in a stuffed envelope. Amy Adams tells her fiancé (the posh well-spoken guy from Flash Forward and Pirates) what happened in church just moments before the ceremony - and surely he can't be too angry as it all went on before they were even together. As it turns out he is quite angry - and chases the Best Man out the church, through the village and away over rolling green hills into the distance, and possibly Scotland. Nick the escort and the angry fiancé talk things over in a parked car, and then suddenly everything is roses - they both go back to the old church with Nick as the new Best Man. Nick and Kat get back together and in the closing credits it ties up a few loose ends, and tells us that Nick left 'the business' for good and took Ginger on a proper first date - and he paid this time.
