Gabriel Cortez is being transferred to Death Row, when his entourage break him out of FBI custody. Driving a modified Corvette at 200mph, and with a kidnapped FBI for protection, he races towards the Mexican border, and the sleepy town of Sommerton ... where Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) is about to make him wish he never left Death Row!
Our Rating: 7/10 - Forest lends an air of credibility to it, but otherwise a fun action movie

After Bailey is killed by Cortez's men building the bridge across the Rio Grande, the Sheriff Deputizes two more recruits - an army Vet who is a little down on his luck, and crazy Lewis (Johnny Knoxville), a local rare-arms museum curator. They gear up at Lewis's place, then blockade the High Street of Sommerton.
Burrell, Cortez's number two, leads his men into town to clear a path - but hasn't counted on the firepower from the Deputies. With the help of the 'Nazi killer' machine gun, driven from the back of a school bus, they make quick work of Burrell's men. Figgy and Lewis are both shot, but not fatally. Owens takes out Burrell, just as the Corvette enters town. Cortez ditches his passenger, before navigating through town without much hassle, and takes a detour through a cornfield to reach the bridge ...
When Arnie suddenly appears in a shiny new Camaro, commandeered from the Mayor, which seems to match the Corvette for speed and power, somehow. Both cars are soon pretty much smashed up before they reach the bridge. Cortez scrambles out of the wreck, and hobbles to the bridge ... where he finds the Sheriff waiting for him.
Cortez offers a bribe, before getting the smackdown from Arnie. Cortez doubles the bribe, and takes his dagger to a fist fight, but is soon pummeled into submission.
Arnie cuffs him, and leads him back to town in the battered Camaro, towing him behind. Agent Bannister (Forest Whitaker) is waiting for them, congratulates the Sheriff and arrests the kidnapped agent for assisting Cortez escape. And Arnie warns the Mayor about parking in a fire lane again!
