Alan takes full advantage of the situation to raise his own profile, but his stock drops when he accidentally escapes from the radio station - and is photographed by the Paps in a compromising situation. Lynne has come into her own, and when she has more airtime than Alan, she is fired.
Alan goes back to the station to wait in the crowd when Pat orders pizza, which is about to be delivered by an undercover policeman. When Pat sees Alan, he is summoned to deliver them instead. Inside the top box is a taxer, but Alan isn't quick enough and Pat grabs it. While they talk, the station manager grabs the shotgun, and starts to bully Pat.
Alan doesn't want it to end quite yet, and doesn't like the treatment dished out to his old friend, so tells the young DJ that the manager has given him the breakfast show prime spot. The manager is tazered, Pat grabs the gun, and they escape.
As the police surround the area, slowly from an underground carpark a rolling Radio station on wheels emerges, and makes its way around the streets of Norwich. Pat and Alan give a live radio broadcast as the crowd cheers them on, while Michael drives the minibus.
But when Alan writes on and then holds up a sign with their names, Pat remembers the whiteboard 'Just sack Pat' handwriting, and puts it all together. Alan hides in the chemical toilet, but around a sharp turn the toilet breaks loose and he careers away towards the pier.
Alan hides, and uses an air rifle to take pot shots at Pat. The cops show up again. Alan and Pat wrestle for the gun. Alan takes it and throws it away, but it catches a railing, and fires a shot into his leg. A police marksman takes the opportunity to shoot Alan in the chest as well.
Pat is arrested. Alan makes a recovery. In the credits we're told that Lynne apologised for having 'ideas above her stationNULL, and now works for Alan again! And Bruno Brookes has replaced Pat as the OAP's favourite on the airwaves!
