Despicable Me 2 (2013)
A new super-villain is in town, who has picked up an entire Polar laboratory (which was experimenting on tiny bunnies to make them into giant, killer rabbit-monsters) with a big magnet. Gru is recruited by the Anti Villain League to catch the criminal, and bring peace to the world.
Our Rating: 3/10 - Nowhere near as good as the original. Just a rambling cartoon - but kids will love the minions!
Watchability: 3/10 - At least they take out Russell Brand early-on!
Tagline: More minions. More despicable.

Gru has been released from his ties with the AVL after they find evidence on the wig-seller that he was behind the crime. Gru, who hasn't realised that all his minions have disappeared, is invited to Eduardo's Cinco de Mayo party and realises that Eduardo, who looks just like El Macho … is in fact El Macho.
El Macho shows him the experiment, led by his new right-hand man Dr Nefario, which transforms the minions into purple haired indestructible monsters.
Gru declines the offer and leaves, just as Lucy (who was flying out to take a new post in Australia) realises she loves him and parachutes in to the party. El Macho kidnaps her, and sends a minion after Gru to take him out.
El Macho loads all the minions into giant rockets bound for major cities of the world. Dr Nefario comes to his senses and warns his old friend. Gru gets to the fortress to stop him - pretending to have been kidnapped by his last two remaining minions. Things go wrong though when the minions' paint falls off, and they are chased by the little monsters.
Nefario shows up on a flying machine, and fires jelly filled with the antidote at the monsters, turning them back into cuddly, yellow minions again.
Only El Macho remains - he too takes the injection to turn into a big purple monster, but the minions fire their fart guns at him to knock him out. Gru jumps onto the rocket as Lucy is taken away, and they jump to safety before it explodes into the volcano.
147 dates later it's their wedding day.
The minions sing and dance. Margo has a chance to tell her poem about 'my mommy' … and everyone has forgotten about the last purple minion that got away.
