So, how does the movie end??

Now the team have tracking systems on Hobb's SUVs, they see their window now that Hobbs is at the far side of towm, and everyone starts to move out the factory.  Suddenly Hobbs shows up, trapping Dom, Brian, Mia and Vince.  Hobbs and Dom fight it out Wrestlemania no-holds-barred style breaking through a few walls, until Dom wins - but they are all still arrested anyway.

In chains they are taken through the city streets when Zizi (Reyes's right hand man) shows up with his little army and a few RPGs to take out the armor-plated SUVs.  Hobbs's men are gunned down. Elena break the chains on Dom's crew and they lend a hand - saving Hobbs' life.  Vince is shot, it doesn't look good and asks Dom to care for his son.

The team meet up again, and are pretty disillusioned by it all.  Vince is deda.  Dom asks for recuits - one man steps forward --- Hobbs! It's actually quite an emotional bit!  Got get em Hobbs!  The others are in it now too.

So, they smash their way into the police station's underground car park and the armor-plated SUV ounches a huge hole in the wall.  Two muscle cars, driven by Dom and Brian, fix metal cables to the safe and tear it from the wall.  They make a run for it - towing the giant metal safe through the Rio streets causing absolute carnage.

Soon they have a 10 second window, and then make it out to a bridge but are too slow to outrun the cops and Reyes' other men.  Dom releases Brian so he can get away and turns around - taking the fight, and the safe, to the cops.

As Dom jumps from the wreck of his car, Zizi stands with a shotgun - but Brian has returned to pick up his pal and guns him down.

Hobbs approaches. Reyes, lying trapped under his car, calls for help - but Hobbs just calmly shoots him. Hobbs gives them 24hrs to get out of town, and then he will continue the chase. And they must leave the safe.

As they get away, Hobbs opens the safe - to see that it is empty inside.

He recalls the events - in the 10 second window they pushed the safe into a garbage truck and picked up a dupe safe.

Back at the rendezvous, Dom's team open the safe to take their winnings. Dom sends some to Vince's widow. Later, Roman drives up to Tej's garage with his ""only car in the Western Hemisphere"" - to see that Tej has an identical model.  Han and the girl he took a shine to travel through Germany, and plan to visit Spain.

Dom and Elena join Brian and Mia at their new beach house for a drink. Brian challenges Dom for a race. The credits start with a visual of the race highlights, leading to...

After credits scene:  Eva Mendes walks into Hobbs' office and delivers a file regarding a heist that might interest him. Hobbs tells her that unless it is Toretto, he isn't interested.  Eva opens the file for CCTV footage of the criminal - a picture of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), back from the dead.

Random Notes!
There is no real reason why Toretto should be all that concerned to go after Reyes and risk his life, except for the money, but hey - it's the Fast and Furious! It's not like you watch this one for the plot!
