So, how does the movie end??

When the Night Stalker team of psychopaths try unsuccessfully to murder the only witness (Ingrid - Brigitte Nielsen) in the hospital, Cobra and Gonzales fear that there is a mole in the force.  Together with old Nancy - who is the mole - from the earlier van scene (not much suspense needed to work that out), they take Ingrid out of town to a motel and the old woman keeps making calls.  Cobra is suspicious but doesn't do much and just waits for the bad guys to turn up.

Next morning a Mad Max style band of psychos arrive on motorbikes and the good guys realise the lady has ratted them out.  After a huge firefight, Gonzales is shot in the leg, while Cobra and Ingrid hitch a ride to lead the bad guys away.

They take out about another 50 or so of the enemy, until the truck is damaged and they flee to a steelworks nearby.  Nancy is still alive and takes out the guard, who falls on a switch and the smelting process gets underway.

Sick of just shooting the bad guys, Cobra resorts to shooting grenades to blow them up in greater numbers and using the random furnaces around the factory to burn the prowling bad guys.

The older woman is shot and then the sniper is taken out.  Confronting the real Mike Myers style Night Stalker, there is a lot of talk of pleading insanity while he keeps calling him a pig.  Cobra is about to just shoot him when Nancy is back from the dead.  She is dispatched by the Night Stalker, before the big two fight and Mike Myers is hung up on a passing hook before it takes him into a nearby flame.

Outside, Cobra's partner is ok, Ingrid is happy and the police captain thanks him for his work (- but doesn't want to give him a new car which seems a little harsh).  The nerdy chief with the glasses says he could have brought them to justice - to which Cobra punches him in the face, but then agrees to his ""no hard feelings"" hand-shake and then rides off with Ingrid into the sunset.

Our Comments:

Can't believe I've waited almost 25 years to see this one!!  It's been on my list ever since I noticed the poster on the back of Judge Reinhold's door in Beverly Hills Cop 2, but it's never on tv!
